PARTNERS AT WORK

On August 12th and 13th the Rotary Club of Lewiston/Niagara-On-The-Lake sold hot dogs at the Lewiston Arts Festival (sponsored by the Lewiston Council on the Arts).  The club has been serving hot dogs for over 40 years at the festival.  The tradition was started by Al DiMino, one of founders of the Tops supermarkets chain.

It is because of the continued support of the DiMino family that the Lewiston/NOTL Rotary is able to donate the funds generated from the endeavor to the Mount St. Mary's hospital maternity unit for the purchase of needed medical equipment.  The dedicated nurses from that maternity unit have also partnered with the club to staff the booth and raise awareness in the community of both Rotary and the maternity services at the hospital.

The club extends its most sincere thanks to Anthony DiMino for his dedication to the tradition begun by his dad so many years ago, to the Council on the Arts for giving it a venue to promote Rotary, and to the nurses of Mt. St. Mary's Maternity Unit for their continued dedication to their mission of providing a healthy environment for mothers and babies.  The club declares, "It's great to have such outstanding friends and partners in the community"!
