"YOU ARE A MEMBER OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL"

These words were spoken to me when I was inducted into Rotary almost 14 years ago. The exact words from the late PDG Karen Oakes were…"You are a member of The Rotary Club of Delhi, AND, a member of Rotary International."  She went on to say in the induction, “as a member of Rotary International, you have a made a commitment to The Rotary Foundation (TRF) to help alleviate pain and suffering throughout the world by -

_ Raising funds for The Rotary Foundation

_ Supporting your club to obtain grants from The Rotary Foundation for local and international humanitarian efforts

_ Donate personally to The Rotary Foundation as able

Those words have guided me as a Rotarian to support The Rotary Foundation as my Charity of Choice.  Knowing our efforts as volunteers are strengthened with humanitarian grants to support our many causes is truly a reward of membership. We see the results of our donations in District Designated Fund (DDF) grants that support our community projects, international projects, and the Global Grants Program.
I do support many other causes as I am able to both with my volunteer time and financial donations. I know OUR Rotary Foundation has a consistent “Four out of Four Star” Charity Navigator Rating, the highest attainable recognition and rating given to charities. It is convenient to donate online monthly, as well as stand alone memorial donations, and to honour friends or family on special occasions.

Please ask your Club Foundation Chair or D7090 Foundation Chair, Sandi Chard at: sandichard@gmail.com to assist you to set up online giving. It’s an easy and convenient way to donate and support Our Rotary Foundation.

I thank all of you for your commitment to The Rotary Foundation, and I encourage you to give a memorial gift or gift to honour someone, especially during the holiday season through a stand alone donation.

Together, we are all Doing Good in the World,

With Gratitude,
