Reg Madison
District Governor
2017 - 2018
Reg was born and educated in Alberta before moving to Ontario. He was active in broadcasting and financial services for many years, retiring in 2012.
He joined the Brantford Sunrise Rotary club in 2003 and was actively involved from day 1 in many capacities:
  • From Club President to Assistant Governor to a trained facilitator and graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute and finally to his role as District Governor
  • He’s a three-time Paul Harris Fellow, member of the Paul Harris Society and he and Loretta became members of the Bequest Society in 2009
  • Their years in Rotary included 8 Rotary Conventions and 5 youth exchange students
On a personal note Reg has been active all of his life as a coach, president or chair:
  • Coaching baseball and hockey and winning provincial championships
  • Chairing the Brant Organ Donor Curling Bonspiel
  • President of the Lung Association, the Brantford General Hospital Foundation and the Brantford Golf & Country Club
  • Still busy today as co-chair of PGA golfer David Hearn’s Golf Classic supporting the Alzheimer’s Society
  • Nearly 20 years ago he started a single malt tasting club with 22 members. Today there are more than 250 members enjoying gourmet meals and fine whiskey.
  • Just recently, Reg received Brantford’s Outstanding Citizenship Award, in celebration of Canada’s and Ontario’s 150th birthdays.
Reg and Loretta have 3 sons, 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren.  He enjoys family, travel, golf, curling, cooking and music.
