Hi Club Secretary,

I was privileged to meet many of you at Club Leadership Training this past May.  However with our busy Rotarian lives, some could not make it.  This page is designed to give you the resources to direct and assist you in your role.

Available as a download in the menu on the left also are my slides from the Secretary's workshop on May 6, 2017.

Your first frame of reference is always the Club Secretary's Manual (in menu on left as a download and also given to your club president elect at PETs training (for you)).  It has everything in it that you need to be an effective club secretary.  Other important documents for your key club role include the Recommended Rotary Club's Bylaws and and the Standard Rotary Club Constitution.  Please note the downloads are adaptable for changes to your club culture and practice....however, you want to ensure your bylaws are consistent with the constitution.  The only amendable items in the downloadable constitution is the meeting location and time/date.

Significant changes were made to how we operate as clubs at the 2016 Council on Legislation.  Please check this document Essential Changes for Clubs District to get a quick peak at some of the flexibility offered to clubs now.   More information is also available - click on District Operations, Council on Legislation in the header menu of the homepage.

Additional Online RI Resources

Listed below are four links to Rotary International for resources often asked of a District Officer or Executive that will help Club Leaders with many of the questions that come to the District yet are actually handled by Rotary International.

My Rotary (FKA Member Access) log in and registration portal at top of page
Club & District Support & Financial Representatives - contact information

Manage Club and District Records

As always, any questions, please contact Pene Hutton, District Executive Secretary.  Please note also - I am available to host an online training with you at our mutual convenience.  As long as you have internet - we can do it sitting in the comfort of our own homes/offices.

Have a great year!
