GREAT LAKES WATERSHED CLEANUP

Resource Center

The Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup is an effort that has grown from a District 7090 service project covering a small portion of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie into a multi-district initiative to focus Rotarian's attention on all five of the Great Lakes plus its streams and waterways feeding them.  Our goal every year is to make this the single largest cleanup event ever planned coinciding with Earth Day 2024.

We are using a new form this year to aggregate results. Club leaders can enter their 2024 cleanup information by clicking on the following link here. Make sure you have posted on social media with hashtags and continue to follow up with your partners so you can use this event to gain attention and attract members.

Everything you need to know about starting and running your cleanup is listed on the left-hand side of this page. While some of the recordings and slides are from a few years ago, they are still valid as content and examples.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT NEEDS TO BE COVERED BY INSURANCE. THERE IS A FORM THAT SHOULD BE COMPLETED ESPECIALLY IF A PARTNER YOU ARE WORKING WITH REQUESTS TO BE ADDED AS ADDITIONAL INSURED ON OUR POLICY.  SEE THE INSURANCE LINK IN THE MENU.
