
She served on the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, Provincial Board of Directors and was the recipient of their Award of Merit in 2011, recognizing her for mentoring, for consumer advocacy, and development of community mental health services. She has served on many community mental health committees, as well as Governor of East Canada Section, The Ninety-Nines, Inc. (International Organization of Women Pilots), President, The Brantford Flying Club, and President, Haldimand-Norfolk Provincial Liberal Association, and Member of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada and numerous aviation organizations.
Lisa became a Rotarian in 2009 after she was invited to join “The Small But Mighty”, Rotary Club of Delhi. She served as club secretary for 2 years, and 3 years as President. In 2016, she took the Port Dover, ON, New Year’s Day Polar Bear Dip that raised over $7,000 (base funds) for End Polio Now. She has enjoyed serving as Assistant Governor for Area #1 clubs (initiated Norfolk Rotary Day of Action), Director of Service Projects, Co-Chair District Conference 2018 & 2020, and RLI Trained Facilitator.
She holds a Private Pilot License, co-owns an airplane, flying many long cross country flights across North America, and a member of the Rotary Fellowship, International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians. Her other interests include the family cottage, golf, snorkeling, scuba diving, traveling, volunteering at, and attending airshows and sharing humour. She is engaged to Lionel Ulrich, Police Inspector (retired), and he is a very supportive “Friend of Rotary”. They are most thankful to have met and joined their lives together after both being widowed.
