NOMINATING SUB-COMMITTEE:
This group is composed of the three immediate past District Governors still residing in the District and two club past presidents, one from the USA and one from Canada. This committee serves as the cornerstone of District-level participation ensuring a diverse representation from the breadth of our District 7090.
We use the Four Way Test and within that specifically 'no peer shall interview a peer' as we maintain impartiality. Any time there is the potential of a conflict of interest, it must be declared in writing to the Nominating Chair. If one of the three immediate Past District Governors is unable to serve, the Governor may appoint another Past District Governor.
The senior of the three immediate Past District Governors on this committee shall be Chair with right of refusal available. If/when exercised the Governor shall appoint another 7090 Past District Governor residing in the District as Chair.
The work of this committee is mainly from July 1st to December 31st of the calendar year.

Responsibilities and Duties:
The committee is responsible for the recruitment, selection, and proposal of a candidate for Governor Nominee Designate, Vice-Governor, and Council on Legislation Representative and alternate Representative shall conform to the By-laws of Rotary International and the District 7090 Manual of Policies and Procedures.
In the selection procedure, this committee is not limited to candidates proposed by Clubs. Current RI BYLAWS at the time of selection should be a point of reference to ensure all nominations are in concert with RI policy. The objectives of the committee are to:
- Propose the best candidate to serve as Governor Nominee Designate.
- Select a Vice Governor to replace the District Governor if needed.
- Select Council on Legislation Delegate and Alternate.
- Select Rotary International District 7090, Inc. Board of Directors for a term of one year, commencing July 1, who may serve any number of consecutive terms:
- Past Governor still active in the District, including regular attendance at District council meetings, who by this selection to serve on the Board of Directors of the Corporation will be Chair of the Advisory Council of Past District Governors.
- Two members active on the District Council will be selected to serve on the Board of Directors.
