Our role is to facilitate the DEVELOPMENT and IMPLEMENTATION of a club-based Action Plan for every club in District 7090.
The Action Plan process is initiated by the club and facilitated by District-based members/facilitators who will assist with:
- The basic introduction to the club about the process;
- Assistance with determining the starting point – WHERE WE ARE – for the process, by collecting both quantitative and qualitative data;
- The analysis of findings from the club-based survey which may suggest potential areas of focus for the club;
- Facilitation skills to move forward to three-year tactics and first year goals for the club. Goals will be specific, measurable, achievable, results-oriented and attached to a time-frame;
- Implementation ideas which can result in the plan becoming an integral part of the club’s growth.
Clubs are expected to get board/club approval before proceeding with the process. Club members will know in advance the time and level of involvement the process, Although there is little cost involved, most clubs choose to do the key part of the process – the establishment of tactics and goals – in an evening session, sometimes involving a meal. Materials may involve a cost of approximately $50.00.
In District 7090, we have made a conscious effort to keep the formatting and language similar to that of Rotary International; this will allow for an easy transition to goal insertion into My Rotary for club leaders. There is also consistency with the double session on Strategic Planning in the Rotary Leadership Institute course.
