SENDING HELP TO ECUADOR
Close to a 1000 people were killed and thousands injured and made homeless by a 7.2 earthquake in Ecuador on April 17th. Rotary Club of Amherst recently contributed $1100 towards Ecuador Earthquake Relief by participating with Canadian District 7790 which has put together a Relief Fund which is managed by Quebec-Charlesbourg Rotary Club.
Funds were contributed by Rotary Club of Amherst East Foundation, Eastern Hills Rotary Club and several Amherst Rotarians. The money will be used help send a container of medical Equipment to Pedernales, Ecuador. Tax receipts were provided to individuals who made contributions through the Rotary Club of Amherst East Foundation.
