BUFFALO STATE ROTARACT REPORTS IN
Here are two fabulous photos of the Buffalo State Rotaract Club sponsored by Amherst South Rotary. One photo is volunteering a meal for Ronald McDonald House and the other is a joint project with Habitat for Humanity (with Amherst South Rotary). The club's advisor, Rotarian Carol DeNysschen, who sent in the photos, reports that the Rotaract Club has had a very successful and rewarding year! To begin, we had a new president this year, the lovely Xylina Ulloa. Our vice president, Laura Steuerman, was highly active in many of the events we had to offer and a great addition to our team. Our secretary, Christina Juzwicki, kept things interesting with all of her fun emails! Jessica Page, our treasurer, contributed a lot of her time volunteering at the Meals on Wheels kitchen in between school studies. Our amazing event coordinators and public relations people did such a good job finding so many cool events to be a part of!
From mid September through until the end of October, our members were able to be a part of some really fun events such as; the American Heart Association Heart Walk, Back to School Health Blast with Matt Urban Hope Center, Habitat for Humanity Project, Riverkeeper Cleanup, Ken-Ton Meals on Wheels, Food Bank of Western New York Gardening Project, North Buffalo Farmer's Market, and Friends of Night People, just to name a few. We also had our monthly bake sale which raised a fair amount of money!
Some of the events we had to offer during November into December included; World on Your Plate Conference, Massachusetts Avenue Project, Compass House Shelter, DEP Chili Sale, Holy Cross Head Start, 3rd Annual Socktober Sock Drive, DEP Health Fair, and Ronald McDonald House, Operation Rock Out Hunger, Baker Victory Service Angel Trees and much more!
I'm so excited to see what next year brings and what future successes we will have! I am truly grateful to be a part of such a dynamic club! Keep up the amazing work and never stop giving!
