EXTENDING CHRISTMAS CHEER A TRADITION

December 25, 2015 saw the Rotary Club of Brantford celebrate its most long-lived tradition.  An annual practice begun by Rotarian Gerry McDonald, the Rotary Christmas Sing at the Brantford General Hospital has taken place every Christmas Day since 1949 to cheer up inpatients unable to go home on Christmas day.

78 Rotarians and their families and friends joined together to sing and spread cheer throughout the halls of the hospital during an hour and a half on Christmas morning. Led again by Santa and a keyboard player on a sleigh as organized by Rotarian Bruce Williamson, the jolly caroling Rotarians made their way from the 8th floor down to the basement cafeteria.

A special connection between the 2 Brantford clubs was being joined by Sunrise Club of Brantford Rotarian/District Governor 2017-18 Nominee Reg Madison and Past Rotary Club of Brantford President Greg Anderson - both of whom currently serve on the Brant Community HealthCare System Board of Directors.
