NOT SO UNLUCKY - FRIDAY THE 13TH

A new member induction, a new Paul Harris Fellow and a classification talk highlighted a special meeting of the Rotary Club of Brantford on Friday, May 13th.

President Rita-Marie Hadley inducted Linda Milke as the club’s newest member.  Linda brings her passion for international understanding from her work at the Wellspring Foundation for Education which works to impact the education system in Rwanda, Africa through values-based training.

A Paul Harris Fellow was awarded to Carolyn Kaminsky who, as Club Secretary, has been an indispensable support to six successive club presidents and slates of board officers.  Her quiet but effective Service Above Self also extends to a longstanding governance role with the Boys and Girls Club of Brantford, which the club helped found in Brantford.

This was followed by a Rotary member classification talk by Heather Hall, a litigation lawyer with Waterous Holden Amey Hitchon LLP who has been active with the club’s Youth Exchange Committee and a Philos newsletter scribe since joining the club.

Clearly, there was nothing unlucky about this Friday the 13th at the Rotary Club of Brantford!
