CO-PRESIDENTS INDUCTED

The Rotary Club of Buffalo Sunrise held its changeover and installation of new officers on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at an outdoor celebration. Outgoing President Patricia Johnson was warmly thanked for her outstanding year leading Buffalo Sunrise.  PDG Kevin Crosby (pictured left) installed co-Presidents Melanie Rushforth and Kofi Fynn-Aikens. Each will serve for the year 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. Kevin Cosby remains as Treasurer and Brian Ibsen will serve as Secretary.

TALENTED GROUP

Buffalo Sunrise has talent and uses it to serve others!  Members of RC Buffalo Sunrise, Kofi Fynn-Aikens and Stan Simmons, lent their considerable musical and dance talents at two events in June. The first was a successful fundraiser held at PAUSA Art House in Buffalo. African drumming was featured and our special guest was Hannah Prince, a recent Naval Academy graduate of a Rotary Scholarship. She will begin study this September at the Women’s College in Cambridge England. Pictured on right (Stan far left and Kofi far right).
BSR members Nadia Mugisha and Christine Owimbabzi demonstrated lovely Rwandan dance at Let There Be Light International’s  Solar Celebration on June 25. Sarah Baird, founder of LTBLI, Ben Kerman, Jamie Perry and Rubens Mukunzi are Board members of LTBLI.
