We will be featuring the following speakers at the upcoming District conference.

Janice is a survivor of a polio epidemic that struck her suburb of DeWitt, NY, in fall 1953. In 1954 she participated in the Salk vaccine trial, as one of nearly two million "Polio Pioneers." She is dedicated to the goal of worldwide polio eradication. She spends her time speaking to Rotary clubs and districts and many civic, educational and health groups regarding the importance of polio eradication and vaccination. As Jan likes to put it, she's a woman on a mission.

PRIVP Monty Audenart brings his message of Rotarians Making A Difference at the District Foundation Dinner on Saturday Evening.

Monty is a Canadian by birth, a Dentist by profession and a Rotarian by choice. As a Rotary volunteer he has taken his compassion and professional skills to the less fortunate through Rotary sponsored and Foundation funded projects all over the world. Monty has spoken to many Rotary forums, Conferences, Institutes and Leadership Training Sessions. When he speaks about how Rotary's work Makes A Difference in the lives of the less fortunate, there is no dry eye in the audience. Monty is a Humanitarian who believes that Rotary is not just a weekly meeting but a way of living.

Doug Vincent, a Past District Governor from District 7080, believes that "It is the Rotarian who is at the top of our organization, and not the RI President. In almost all cases, major Rotary projects have started with one Rotarian in one Rotary Club," he said.  "That's the Power-of-One, an opportunity each Rotarian has."

Doug will be the keynote speaker on Saturday morning, sharing his hands-on global experience on how individual Rotarians have made a positive difference in our world.  He'll also relate how our Rotary-United Nations Partnership evolved and what each of us can do with our Rotary tool box to help achieve the UN Millennium Goals.
PDG Theodore Gurzynski from District 6270 will be Rotary International John
Kenny's personal representative to the conference. He will deliver President John Kenny's message at the plenary session on Saturday morning. He will also be speaking at that Business meeting on Friday afternoon, at the opening ceremony Friday evening and at the closing ceremony on Sunday.
