The Family of Rotary

It is my absolute pleasure to write to you this December evening and to reflect at this time on the delights of our great Family of Rotary.  I share with you this photo of some of the club members of my home club, Rotary Club of Delhi.  Like so many of you, in our club we enjoy each other's company at our weekly meetings and at our many and varied social events with our families and friends.  We rejoice in our triumphs, in the marriages, and the births of babies as our families grow, and we weep together when illness or misfortunate brings us sadness.  As Rotarians, we are family and we are joined together in our commitment to the work of Rotary in our communities and in programs around the globe.

Wolfgang and I wish each of you and your loved ones a happy and safe Holiday Season, and a healthy and prosperous 2011.
