DG Karen's June Message

As this Rotary year draws to a close, I continue to be mindful of the depth of our commitment to Service in Rotary.  We have recently reviewed all of the membership numbers for our district and I note with great pride that this Rotary year our clubs have collectively inducted some 235 new members. What a great pleasure to welcome all of these folks into our family of Rotary!    Of course, the other side of the coin is that we have lost members to age, death, work commitments and other obligations, so our net growth at the end of May 31^st, 2011 is a humble 23 increase in membership.   The key point here is that we are growing in a positive way, and we must continue to grow and to invite others to join us in our Rotary fellowship.   Keep opening those doors to Rotary!

I wish to have the opportunity to congratulate each of the club Presidents and their teams on their hard work this year, and to that end, each of you has been invited to a year end celebration on June 26, 2011.  Please check out the details on the link as Presidents' Recognition Brunch, and join me as we reflect on our successes of this Rotary year.
