October is VOCATIONAL Service Month!
Hello Fellow Rotarians of District 7090,
As the month of October is fast drawing to a close, I encourage all Rotarians to focus on this important avenue of Rotary Service. As we know Vocational Service focuses on:

Adherence to and promotion of the highest ethical
standards in all occupations, including fair treatment of employers, employees, associates,mpetitors, and the public.
·
The recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations,
not just those that are pursued by Rotarians.
· The contribution of your vocational talents to solving the problems of society and meeting the needs of the community.
Membership in Rotary is based on a member's vocation; all clubs are encouraged to check the Rotary International (www.rotary.org) web site for Vocation Month which includes the following announcement:
Rotarians have put Service Above Self for more than a century. Through vocational service, Rotarians serve others through their professions and promote high ethical standards. In honor of
Vocational Service Month
, members are encouraged to apply the skills and talents they use in their professions to their club's service projects. To discover members' unique skills, clubs could conduct a skills inventory to determine a service project that maximizes members' professional abilities.
