MESSAGE FROM INCOMING PRESIDENT JENNIFER

Greetings Rotary friends,

It is with great excitement that I am writing to let you know that Nick and I will be starting the 2022-23 Rotary year as President of Rotary International on a tour from coast to coast to coast across Canada.

There is a countrywide team planning the tour and we will be officially announcing the dates and locations following the International Assembly this February. Each destination is intended to be a “hub” that will draw from surrounding districts and geographical areas.

The Canada tour is part of a global effort to elevate the profile of Rotary. As people of action, people of purpose and people of influence, we want to engage our members along with community leaders and supporters, and each location will include service and social opportunities.
While we are dedicating several weeks to this tour, I hope you understand that that we will not be able to visit each Province or Territory and encourage you to consider participating in one of the hubs that is most convenient for you.

Please watch for more announcements about this – and I hope to see you in early July 2022!

Wishing you and your families much peace, love, joy and health in this new year.

Warmest,
Jennifer

DISTRICT 7090 IS PART OF THE TOUR

Jennifer Jones, RI President 2022-23, will bring her ‘Coast to Coast to Coast” Tour of Canada to the Toronto, Ontario, Area HUB on Tuesday, July 5th, 2022. We are included in the Toronto HUB that showcases four Rotary Districts: 7090, 7080, 7070 & 7010. The District Governors and Governors-Elect from all four districts have been meeting to create a “Showcase Rotary” concept that incorporates many of the great ideas we received from you last week. I am happy to announce that we will showcase and participate in The Great Lakes Watershed Clean Up (Caring for the Environment), as well as service projects that focus on Alleviating Hunger. We will also display a breadth of “People of Action” Rotary Service Projects that are both local and international. This full day event will engage The Family of Rotary (in particular Youth Programs), and the community as much as possible. We always hope many of you can participate at the sites. For those who cannot attend in person, we are planning virtual connections to the HUB events.

If you would like to help out in the planning and development of our HUB event July 5, please reach out and connect with me at: delhipeople@sympatico.ca
We welcome Rotary & Community volunteers with skills in: special events planning, marketing & promotion, volunteer management, public relations & communication, audio visual/recording/technical support, sponsorship, and finance.

This is a unique Rotary opportunity! Let’s all pitch in to elevate the profile of Rotary…Imagine the New Members we can attract, Imagine the Fun, Imagine the excitement of expanding Your Rotary World!
