TICK TOCK

The countdown is speeding up! To the Class of 2016 – 2017, are we ready?  Is your club leadership team trained?  Are  your members asking questions about the greater world of Rotary?  Read on…

Our Rotary District 7090 is well-known for our dedicated team of trainers who come together on the first Saturday in May to hold our largest annual training session, “Club Leadership Training”, ensuring  all members have a greater understanding of their role within their clubs.  This year, it is again at the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls, 101 Old Falls Street, Niagara Falls, NY. For our Canadian members, it is just across the Rainbow Bridge – Remember your passport. (Next year, 2017, this event will be in St. Catharines, Ontario, as we will be alternating this event in the upcoming years).  There is a large parking garage on the corner of Niagara Street and 1st Street, if you drive to the west end of the garage your walk is a very short walk to the conference center.

As your incoming District Governor for 2016 -2017, it is my pleasure to work with such a dedicated team who know how to make this training event upbeat and applicable.  Anne Bermingham and Reg Madison (we are giving Reg a pass while he recouperates from surgery) are the Co-Chairs.  DG Kevin Crosby, DGND Melisa Schrock, PDGs John Heise and Ralph Montesanto – Director, Training and incoming Director, Training respectively, Co-Chair AG Trainer Bob Morrow, AG Joe Alber, Rotary Rewards Chair Bob Artis and Pene Hutton, District Executive Secretary.  They are working vigorously to bring you outstanding facilitators in all avenues of Rotary focus.  You see, Rotary International charged me, as the District Governor 2016 -2017, with the responsibility of helping each club’s leadership, officers and chairs to be current in their training.  My thanks to this team for making it all come together.  The only thing missing now is…you!  Are you registered?  Are you bringing lots of your team and members to this event?

We are fortunate to have as our luncheon speaker, Joel Hilchey, an outstanding motivational speaker and author of “How Great Leaders Make Stuff Happen.”  His ideas are applicable to Rotary leadership and life in general.  Joel is really a not-to-be-missed speaker!!

INCOMING CLUB PRESIDENTS – I challenge you, “How many of your members are attending with you?”

This event is an ideal setting to learn about Rotary whether you are new Rotarian or a seasoned one, this is the place.  For those Rotaractors who are just being introduced to the world of Rotary, we have a special track just for you.  Come out and join us!
