CONTINUING THE DISTRICT VISION ROLLOUT -  OUTCOMES

Outcomes of Using Diverse Approaches to Educate Rotarians As seen in 2018

This month instead of telling you, club leaders and members, how District will roll out the District Vision; we are seeking suggestions from you about how you wish to see this rolled out.  You are very savvy and we want your ideas about the best way to deliver programs to clubs. We have District trainers ready to develop the material in person. There are many webinars on-line. Which delivery method excites you? Will you work with others in your region to organize local seminars?

When 2018 arrives, will your members have more knowledge about the larger world of Rotary and have a greater knowledge of how to access Rotary International and our District resources. Will you have been a part of the reason there is a greater sense of vibrancy in your club and a chatter in your community about the “Good Work” of Rotary happening around the corner or on the other side of the world?

Please share your ideas to Marlee Diehl, marlee@D7090.org. Your District leadership team will work with these ideas to create innovative delivery methods that in an interesting way engage and challenge our members. All ideas are welcome.

To take diverse approaches to educate Rotarians about the larger world of Rotary and District Resources

The diverse approaches to educating Rotarians about the larger world of Rotary and District resources helped clubs / areas establish orientation and mentorship programs that speak to new members and longer-serving Rotarians.
The District library of training resources managed by a designated District role ensured clubs have the necessary tools and may easily access these for their clubs to educate new and seasoned members.
DGEs, AGs and PEs strongly promote and encourage members to attend RLI, Club Leadership Training and other applicable District training programs. Encouraging clubs to carpool has created inter-club relationships, which has grown legs in joint projects.
The employment of technology (e-meetings, such as Zoom) developed stronger leaders when combining traditional training, online and self-directed learning methodologies.
The periodic surveys of club training needs and the development of local seminars based on these needs created a synergy in members to step beyond the local club knowledge base resulting in new service projects and global understanding.
