BIDDING WAR SURPRISE

As part of the 100th Anniversary celebration of The Rotary Foundation, the Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise decided to direct half of the money raised at its annual Christmas auction to the eradication of polio.  The highlight of the auction was the heated bidding war between Carl Fraser and Jessica Brennan over a beautiful picture of two girls playing the piano.....
 
 
In the end Carl won the prize, but turned right around to make it a gift for Jessica.  She accepted and gave him a big hug.
 
The club donated $1982.50 towards Polio Plus and was extra happy to know that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation would turn that amount into $5947.50.
