HABITAT THANKS ROTARY

Habitat for Humanity Niagara, through the incredible support of the Rotary Clubs of Welland and Fonthill, held a brief ceremony to recognize the generosity of the Clubs’ financial donation allowing Habitat Niagara to purchase a brand new trailer.  The trailer was unveiled at Habitat Niagara’s ReStore where local delegates, Rotarians and Habitat supporters were present to see the newly branded piece of equipment.

“We are so impressed and pleased that both the Fonthill and Welland Rotary Clubs partnered in providing Habitat with this trailer,” said Alastair Davis, Habitat Niagara’s CEO. “They are wonderful community leaders who jointly sponsored this purchase which will be very beneficial to Habitat as we work at multiple sites each year.   The trailer will greatly improve our resourcing, reduce cost and allow us to recognize the Rotary Clubs’ support as we display their sponsorship proudly on it.”

“The Welland Rotary Club is enthused to be part of this collaborative project that will benefit all of the Niagara communities,” said Tamara Coleman-Lawrie, President of the Rotary Club of Welland. “Together we were able to invest in a construction trailer that will help to build homes for families and children.  At Rotary, we value our community’s needs, particularly the basic human needs of shelter, nutrition, access to clean water, education and family.  We are thrilled to support Habitat Niagara with the tools necessary to build the lives of local children and their families.”

“The Rotary Club of Fonthill was so pleased to be able work in partnership with the Rotary Club of Welland for this trailer,” shares Paul Allen, President of the Rotary Club of Fonthill. “Our small clubs were able to have such a positive impact for Habitat for Humanity which is such a great, caring organization with fantastic results!”
