Gift of Life Event

 

DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE GIFT OF LIFE? 

Gift of life is a Rotarian-based organization that over the past 4 decades has helped more than 17,000 children from emerging countries receive treatment for their heart disease.  These children have come from 67 different countries and, without G-O-L, they would not have been treated.  They would have died.  Today, there are over 70 Gift of Life programs throughout the world mostly based in Rotary Clubs or Rotary Districts on 5 continents.  The program provides transportation and heart related medical/surgical treatment to small children from the third world.
 
We are blessed to have one of those 70 programs right here in District 7090.  Dr. John D. Rydzik, a Rotary Club of Hamburg Sunrise Rotarian leads the District 7090 effort to “save children - one little heart at a time".  As of the last three children saved in 2014, the District 7090 Gift of Life program has saved the lives of 41 kids.  We’re sponsoring three more this year (2016).
 
The Gift of Life is holding its 18th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Lancaster Country Club (6061 Broadway, Lancaster). 
 
We need help supporting this event to help save children’s lives!  Sponsors will be recognized, golfers will be welcomed.  The time to sign up is NOW.  There are several ways to participate:
  1. Sponsorships – Your donation can include an ad on the fairway ($100 small, $250 large) or sponsorship at the $500 (Leader), $1,000 (Tournament) or $5,000 (Save a Child) levels.  Talk
    to us about how you and/or your company want to be recognized.
  2. Program Ads – Half-page (5 ¼” x 4 ¼”) is $50, Full-page (5 ¼” x 8 ½”) is $100. Inside front cover $500, inside back cover $350.  Email your high-resolution pdf, jpeg or gif ad to hetherlym@gmail.com no later than May 2nd.
  3. Play Golf – Your donation of $150 US or $150 Canadian includes golf, a golf cart, a delicious BBQ lunch, open bar and a mouth-watering steak dinner (registration begins at 10am,  golf begins at noon, open bar 5 to 6, sit down dinner, awards, auction, raffle, 50/50 draw.  
  4. Dinner Only – Enjoy that juicy steak dinner for $50 US or $50 Canadian.
