Grand Island’s ‘Miracle League Field’ – a special ‘soft turf’ handicapped-accessible ball field, received its Tenth Annual Donation from the Rotary Club of Grand Island during the month of July.Grand Island’s ‘Miracle League Field’ – a special ‘soft turf’ handicapped-accessible ball field, received its Tenth Annual Donation from the G I Rotary Club this month. The Club for years has committed to help with the extra maintenance required to make the field safe for youth in wheelchairs or using other assist devices, and yet give them the feel of playing on a proper ‘Tee-ball’ size field. This Miracle Field, plus the adjacent specialized playground, provide a valuable addition to facilities for youth with physical and mental challenges from all of Western NY. Grand Island Rotary is proud to have supported this facility over the years.
