5 NEW MEMBERS INDUCTED

The Rotary Club of Grimsby had the rare privilege of inducting five new Rotarians on December 3rd.   District Governor Kevin Crosby inducted the new members in the presence of a full complement of our regular members, including two inaugural members from the clubs formation in 1976.

An informal survey of the new member’s reasons for joining Rotary are as follows:
  • A true belief in the noble enterprise of Rotary  and in the motto “Service Above Self”
  • An opportunity to become involved in service in a new community following retirement
  • Personal experience of seeing what Rotary has done in various parts of the world
  • A returning long time member who is encouraged with the new flexibility of Rotary
  • The positive friendly atmosphere  experienced at the meetings
  • The opportunity to serve without the time commitment of weekly meetings (now bi-weekly)
  • The friendly information exchange during the “happy buck” portion of the meeting.
