CHECKING OUT NEW WAY TO FUND RAISE

Rotary@Noon has been looking for new ways of fundraising for its local community initiatives, particularly post COVID, and while doing research came across a great not-for profit called FlipGive (https://www.flipgive.com/) that has been useful to the club and could be a benefit to other Rotary clubs.

https://www.flipgive.com/how-it-works:  The great thing about FlipGive is that it leverages the online purchasing people are all doing now to provide cash back to clubs typically in the 1% to 5% range. FlipGive has over 700 brands that participate in its platform and it has helped clubs and sports teams to fund raise over $30 million and counting. As an example, Steve notes, "I needed to purchase a new pair of winter boots and so I went onto FlipGive, clicked on Mark’s icon, this pushed me to Mark’s website, I then bought my boots on Mark’s site and generated $3 for my club.  Not bad for a purchase I was going to make anyway.    I think the key though is changing people’s buying habits to go to the FlipGive website first."

The club is just starting its FlipGive initiative, but based on what it has seen and tried they thought to share it with other District 7090 Rotary clubs. It is free to use and available as a mobile app on Apple and Android device through the app stores.
