30TH ANNUAL BBQ AUCTION - $65K
On August 14, 2015, the Rotary Club of Hamilton AM welcomed over 400 participants to its 30th Annual BBQ Auction Fundraiser at the Ancaster Fairgrounds, in Ancaster, Ontario. Excited guests perused over 250 Silent and Live Auction items, including art, sports tickets, vacations and even a vespa scooter. There was fabulous food provided by La Piazza Allegra, a fun photo booth, slushpuppytinis and raffles for wine and bling.
This year’s auction netted over $65,000 for the hard-working morning club which has raised over $3,000,000 since its charter 30 years ago. Funds over the years have supported many, many charities focusing primarily on children’s health and literacy in the poorest neighbourhoods of Hamilton. The club is planning a gala in the spring as the official celebration of 30 years of “Service Above Self.”
