WHAT'S NEW IN INTERNATIONAL SERVICE?

International Service is an integral part of Rotary.  The extent to which members are engaged across our district varies from club to club.  It is the role of the District 7090 IS Committee, to be there to support all clubs in our district to engage/enhance their IS reach.
The ISC did a call out to all clubs to complete a survey.  Thank you to the 26 clubs that took the time to respond.  Read on for some preliminary results:
•    19/26 clubs are actively involved in International Service projects across the 7 areas of focus
•    24/26 clubs are doing something related to international service (e.g., supporting other clubs in the district/the world/youth exchange etc)
•    16/26 clubs actively apply for grant
•    14 clubs requested a speaker from our District IS Committee to help grow their IS involvement. We will be following up in the next few months to book the presentations
•    21/26 clubs knew that our committee existed before they saw the survey

The committee is creating a list of current projects that will be disseminated out to all clubs on a quarterly basis, and are also building its mentor list of Rotarians across the district that have expertise/experience in international projects, that are willing to assist other Rotarians/clubs in a specific area of focus or country. If you know someone that is willing to have their name on the list, please email Jackie below.

If you missed the opportunity to do the survey, there is still time!  please follow this link - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1k_nm-zex12S9_GJDaiqfKajk1GQ9Ynnfmj7Kn8uI6f0/edit?usp=sharing

- and then email it to Jackie Van Lankveld, Chair of District 7090 ISC, with any questions, to jackievanrotary@gmail.com.
