THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN LANCASTER-DEPEW

The Rotary Club of Lancaster-Depew is announcing its upcoming events (old and new).

The club is again hosting its Annual Car Show on August 4th at Russell’s Steak, Chops & More, 6675 Transit Road, Williamsville, NY from 4pm to 8pm. Bring your vehicles or just come to have fun.

A new event for our Club is Dine & Donate to benefit the Rotary’s Scholarship fund from September 2nd to September 29th. Orders taken starting on August 2nd on our website. Four restaurants will be providing at least two different meal choices including a meat choice and a meatless choice. All orders are takeout. The restaurants include Al-e-oops, Russell’s Steak, Chops & More, The Yelling Goat and Ripa’s Restaurant.

The club has partnered with Victory Sports to provide Bridge the Gap duffle bags for the Police Department. They will be used as a way to get closer to the community in a positive environment. We also set up two donation bins for gently used sports equipment for Victory Sports to give to children who lack the equipment at 21 Central Avenue, Lancaster and 321 Columbia Avenue, Depew.

Our concession stand at the Lancaster High School football games will return after missing out last year due to the pandemic. We can’t wait! It’s always a fun night or afternoon supplying the friends and family of the players with quality snacks. Go team!

We have lost a great Rotarian and past President, Joseph Girardi. He was a retired Lancaster School Superintendent and loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
