SCHOLAR & LEADER TRADITIONS

On July 13, 2016, the Rotary Club of Lewiston, NY & Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON presented a scholarship check to graduating Lewiston-Porter High School Senior Abby McClermont  to help her further her university education at Pittsburgh.

At its changeover on June 29, 2016, three-time President Ron Danielwicz of Lewiston, NY turned over the reins of the Lewiston/Niagara-on-the-Lake Rotary Club to John Hopkins of Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON, who will be president for the 4th time.  At the same meeting, two individuals were recognized as Paul Harris Fellows - Jana Mertz from the Autism Spectrum Disorder Center at Woman and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and member Rotarian Anne Hopkins. 
 
The Autism Spectrum Disorder Center at Woman & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo is the only center for medically-based multidisciplinary evaluation and diagnosis of children with autism spectrum disorders in Western New York and Program Coordinator Jana Mertz has been instrumental in expanding programs for affected children in Niagara County.
