Mr. Sun's Idea

It was Mr. Sun's  idea to have a Chinese Spring Festival Dinner, held on February 26, 2017 and involving guests from the local Chinese-Canadian community, the Rotary Club, and other members of the Lewiston and Niagara-on-the-Lake community.  They were joined by a number of Brock University students, Robb McLeod, who is a Rotary Past District Governor who travels widely around the world on Rotary matters, and Charles Burton, a professor at Brock and former Canadian Ambassador to China.

The event took place at Riverbend Inn in NOTL.  The Dragon Court Restaurant in Hamilton catered the event, preparing the meal on site.  The net proceeds of the event will be directed to a women’s health project aimed at preventing cervical cancer involving Rotary in Belize, Central America.
