HELPING WITH A COMMUNITY AMENITY

Members of the Rotary Club of Lockport are aiding efforts to clean up and maintain some of the parks and pathways surrounding the Erie Canal in Lockport.  Part of this work includes helping the city erect a picnic pavilion on Market Street near the Adam Street lift bridge. Installation of a new 20’ x 40’ open air pavilion adjacent to the Adam Street comfort station will create an attractive new community amenity for local residents and visitors alike.

Fundraising for the Rotary Pavilion on the Erie Canal includes the opportunity to order custom engraved paver bricks that will be embedded near the site. These bricks will be engraved with one’s name, that of a loved one, a friend or family member, or a business name or organization as a lasting, public tribute to the community spirit of Lockport, New York. 4” by 8” bricks are available for just $100 and larger 8” by 8” bricks are available for $225.

Brick donations and other contributions to support the pavilion construction should be made payable to the Lockport NY Rotary Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. More information can be found at: https://www.bricksrus.com/donorsite/lockportrotaryWith support from community members and businesses they hope to install the pavilion in 2023.
