LITERACY AT WORK

December is the Rotary Club of St. Catharines Lakeshore annual fundraiser Season's Cheer to Literacy, which supports its literacy program in five St. Catharines' schools with four English and two French speaking programs.  To date, the club has purchased $50,000 of leveled reading books.  Students from Grades 1 to 4 read to Brock University and Niagara College students, then read to their families at home and the process repeats from October until May.  
 
On December 21st, 8 tickets will be drawn from the annual sale of Season's Cheer tickets.  Prizes are as follows: gift cards to LCBO, Winemaker's Vintage, Mansion House, Niagara College winery, The Ice House, Holiday Inn stay, Professional Cleaning Services, tickets to the Ice Dogs.  The committee thanks everyone for their support.
