2 X 3 - DESERVING PAUL HARRIS FELLOWS

At the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise annual changeover meeting on June 29, 2016, the club surprised John Wallace, retired  Norfolk County Secondary School Principal, with a Paul Harris Fellow Recognition.  Ross Gowan, retired Fanshawe College Professor, was also surprised when he was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow on July 19, 2016 at an evening meeting of the three Norfolk Rotary Clubs.  John and Ross now have two sapphire stones each on their Paul Harris pins signifying they are three time fellows for their continuous demonstration of  Service Above Self.

John was previously a member of the Rotary Club of Simcoe and is a charter member (1996) and a past president of the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise. John is committed to international service. He has traveled to Africa and India for immunization programs to end polio; lead a group study exchange to India; and, has selflessly devoted significant time and effort to raise thousands of dollars for Operation Eyesight, working to end preventable blindness in the world.

Ross is a past president of the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise and is currently Assistant Governor of Area 1.  In addition to devoting extensive time to the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise in various roles, Ross is active in his church and many community organizations where he is usually in a leadership role. Many organizations have benefited and continue to benefit from Ross’s incredible leadership and administrative skills.  Norfolk Sunrise is especially appreciative of Ross's leadership of the Hospice Palliative Care Task Force in the past year.

Congratulations John and Ross!!  You are both so very inspirational with your dedication to Service Above Self.
