ROTARACT AT ST. BONAVENTURE UNIVERSITY

The charter/organizational meeting for the new Rotaract Club of St. Bonaventure University, sponsored by the Olean Rotary Club, was held on March 30, 2015. Our Olean Rotary Club Intern, Mike Cipolla from the SBU Business Department, organized the meeting with help from Rotarian Kim Payne. Mary Kay Worth, president of the Olean Club, qualifies to serve as the ROTARACT Club advisor in her capacity as adjunct professor in the Education Department.

After reviewing the ROTARACT constitution, 27 new members signed in and officers were elected. They are: Mike Cipolla, President; Michael Wesolowski, Vice-president; Ian Palmer, Secretary; Paul Shulick, Treasurer; and Natalie Costello, Public Relations.  When the ballot elections ended in ties, re-voting was done in the “old school” way!

The last step to register officially with Rotary International is to gather the necessary signatures from the club and district levels and mail in with the check!

Olean Rotary Club is SO PROUD to say we can add the sponsorship of a ROTARACT Club to the list of club accomplishments. The club also sponsors two active INTERACT Clubs in Olean City School District and Allegany-Limestone Central School.
