This year the Olean Rotary Club, with substantial fundraising assistance from the Interact Club at Allegany-Limestone, recently completed a water project in Niger. Two primary schools, with a total of 700+ students, now have running water on school grounds. Before this project children gathered water from sources some distance away using carts pulled by cattle or donkeys and jerry cans. Rotarian Carl Vahl was our passionate leader and connection for water projects in Niger once again!
