ROTARACTORS ACTIVE IN STONEY CREEK

The newly formed Rotaract Club of the Ontario College of Health and Technology have had two successful fundraisers since their inception in October.  They collected Beer & Wine bottles in December and January, with the help of members of the Rotary Club of Stoney Creek, raising $600.00 for Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton...

The College has a 5-year commitment of $5,000 per year as well.

They also hosted a presentation by Joe Roberts, who spoke about his time on the streets of east end Vancouver and his rise from skid row to CEO.  Joe explained his “Push for Change” fundraiser, which he hopes will raise awareness and funds for the prevention of homeless youth in Canada.  Joe’s epic adventure starts May 1, 2016 and will take him Coast to Coast to Coast raising $18,000,000.

Rotaract students and Stoney Creek Rotarians will be joining Joe as he comes through Stoney Creek this November.

Joe was presented a cheque for $1,200 towards his goal.  Rotaractors are very appreciative of the support provided by the Stoney Creek club in supporting these fundraisers.
