ROTARY WINE APPRECIATION FELLOWSHIP - BEST OF FRIENDS
The first-ever Rotary Wine Appreciation Fellowship at the local level – Best of Friends Chapter – was held on September 18th at the RedStone Winery in Beamsville, Ontario. It was a “sold-out” event with 31 Rotarians, spouses, friends in attendance. The evening involved hors d’oeuvres and the tasting of five new RedStone wines. At the end of the evening, a cheque was sent for $165 to Polio Plus.
The local chapter of the Rotary Wine Appreciation Fellowship has three objectives – to have fun, keep administrivia to a minimum, and to gain a better understanding of fine wines. Membership is open to all Rotarians and spouses/partners/significant others. There is no local membership fee, but members should join the Rotary International organization ($25/year or $100 for a lifetime membership…which is the best value, especially for younger members!)
