IN MEMORIAL FUND

In September the Rotary Club of Simcoe awarded the first annual Jeff Scott Memorial Bursary Fund for the Medical Arts to Caitlin Arrojo, who is in her first year of studies at the University of Western Ontario In London. She is studying to become a medical doctor.

Past President Ron Baker presented Caitlin with the cheque for $1500. Jeff Scott's daughter Maggie also happens to be a freshman at Western, and joined Ron for the presentation, along with her grandparents (and Jeff's parents) Jack and Carolyn Scott pictured.

The Rotary Club of Simcoe, along with Jeff's family, many friends, and colleagues have contributed more than $60,000 to the fund already, and fundraising efforts continue.

Jeff was a much-loved, well-respected Rotarian and member of the community. He was killed tragically last November after being struck by a moving vehicle. Jeff was the owner and CEO of Great Lakes Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine in Simcoe. His staff and patients have also been active in the fundraising and donating to the fund in his memory.
