SOWNY E-Club News

Here is news that the Rotary E-Club of Southern Ontario – Western New York (SOWNY) wants to share with our 7090 Rotarians, especially those clubs that are interested in pursuing a grant to be used for micro-finance.   

 

The Toronto International Microfinance Summit (TIMS) is coming up on September 29, 2016 - 6:30 – 10:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Military Institute, Toronto.  The summit is Canada’s premier event focusing on domestic and international micro-finance and famed Professor Muhammad Yunus, 2016 Nobel Peace Prize recipient, is a speaker (pictured).  For more information go to http://www.microfinanceconference.ca.  The Rotary E-Club SOWNY is working with TIMS and hoping to assist in providing live streaming of Professor Yunus address.  Rotarian Wendy Bodnoff is Chair of the Rotary E-Club of SOWNY Microfinance Committee; and a Director on the TIMS Board.  E-Club President Gordon Crann was a Founding Co-Chair of TIMS.  For more information on whether or not this will be live-streamed and how to participate, contact Wendy Bodnoff at wbodnoff@cogeco.ca.
