SEND OFF & OPEN MIC
A good time was had by all at the Rotary Club of St. Catharines's Lakeshore President Linda Landry’s year end send off. Club Roma was the perfect venue to host the outdoor garden party. An open mic was kept very busy with members sharing a fond memory of one of our many fundraisers, exchange students, car rallies, etc.
Incoming Area 6 Assistant Governor Cathy Henry brought a warm welcome from the District. President Linda handed out Friends of Rotary Certificates. In-coming President Sandi Chard handed out recognition pins to our 4 remaining charter members, Jon Asplin, Bob Miller, Emilio Raimondo and Bruce Timms. A special thanks went out to the organising committee.
GARY LANDRY HOME READING PROGRAM
Port Weller, Assumption, Our Lady of Fatima, Prince of Wales and Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys Elementary Schools had another very successful reading year. Most Improved Reader Awards were handed out at each school. The recipients earned their name on their school plaque, a take home token as well as a $50 gift certificate to our local Book Depot.Congratulations and a special thank you to the committee and all the volunteers.
