TRAUMA KITS AND MORE....

 
The Rotary Club of St. Catharine’s has been busy:
 
10 members of the club supported the purchase of 750 black sharpie markers which will be used to go in the trauma kits for Ukraine. 
 
District 7090 received a $25,000USD disaster response grant and together with Not Just Tourists, AMD for Hope and Niagara Warehouse of Hope, we will be airlifting medicines, and 750 trauma kits to Ukraine.
The club awarded the Rotary Scholastic Achievement Medals to Kanaan Patrong and Allyson Rees of St. Catharines Collegiate presented by PDG Art Wing and Hannah Biro-Valvasori and Olivia Nwaeze of Laura Secord Secondary presented by Duncan Willock at their graduation ceremonies.  We also presented these students with certificates and cheques for $300 each at our luncheon meeting.
 
The club awarded 4 District 7090 Scholarships to outstanding local students progressing to further education: Madeline Hatrick of Laura Secord Secondary, Steven Triana of St. Catharines Collegiate, Pauline Rotz and Luke Sacco of Eden High School. Certificates were presented at their graduation ceremonies. The total amount of the scholarships was $ 4,500 U.S
 
The club arranged the Ribfest in Montebello Park after two years of other kinds of arrangements. The event was successful, bringing together people and our club members for “Doing Good in the Community” and this way we can give back to community in form of the projects we do
