FUNDRAISING DURING COVID-19

Over 75 registrants took part in an energizing and fun WebTalk on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.  We thank the four clubs that stepped up to present and share their innovative fundraising ideas that also recognized COVID-19 health and safety precautions.

January 26, 2021.  Fundraising Ideas during COVID-19
 

Collated Fundraising Ideas from Break Out Rooms and Live Chat:

  • Make your existing fundraisers virtual or drive through (ask other clubs how they did it)
  • Join up with other clubs, your Area and fundraise together 
  • Create specialty food baskets showcasing local merchants, for sale or raffle 
  • Calendar Raffle (donated gift cards or items)
  • Donate your Rotary meeting meal money to your club charity account and issue a charitable donation receipt
  • Virtual Event or Outdoor: Painting a Picture Party, create a wreath, centerpiece or flower pot, crafts with children 
  • Historical or Geocaching walking tour
  • Cycling, hiking event
  • Virtual in-home meal dining from a local restaurant, zoom entertainment  
  • Live Stream your fundraiser to increase participation
  • Set up donation opportunities “In Memoriam” to your club charity account at funeral homes
  • Partner fundraising with charities, organizations your club supports. Help them fundraise and showcase the Rotary Brand. 
  • Eliminations draw
  • Challenge club members or supporters to make a $25 donation and the club charity matches the donation to The Rotary Foundation or local charity the club supports 
  • Add “grab and go mystery prize bags” for purchase at drive-through or golf events (for example $20 a bag containing donated door prize item or gift card instead of silent auction)
  • Create E-transfer or electronic fund transfer for your club to accept funds as donation or payment on webpage or Facebook
