A MONEYMAKING MATCH

On November 26, the Rotary Club of Westfield-Mayville held it's first Pace Against Polio, a 5K charity fun run/walk held in Westfield, New York.  This race, which was the first of the club's PolioPlus Challenge events, raised over $1,500 US for PolioPlus.

The match is the best part.

The club has set an ambitious goal of raising $10,000 US by the spring of 2018.  Every dollar the club raises will be matched by a local foundation who issued the challenge.  The club has the potential to turn its fundraising into $6, thanks to this match, plus the 2:1 match from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation through the PolioPlus fund.
